Terms & Conditions

Official service terms governing diagnostic appointments, repair authorizations, warranty protections, and customer responsibilities with GeekRepairAppliance.

Last Revised: March 2026
Legally Binding Agreement
Kamloops, BC, Canada

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to GeekRepairAppliance ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By visiting our website, booking an appliance diagnostic service, accepting an in-person repair quote, or authorizing our technicians to perform maintenance on your residential or commercial appliances, you ("Customer", "Client", or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree to all provisions contained within these terms, please do not schedule service appointments or utilize our online booking interfaces.

2. Service Requests, Scheduling & Mobile Dispatch

All service appointments requested online or by phone are scheduled within designated arrival windows (e.g. 2-hour or 4-hour service blocks). While our dispatch coordinators make every effort to arrive promptly, actual arrival times may occasionally be influenced by severe weather, municipal traffic conditions, or previous complex diagnostic emergencies.

We will contact you via phone call or SMS alert prior to the technician's departure to provide an accurate arrival update.

3. Diagnostic Inspection & Upfront Repair Authorization

Our certified technician performs an onsite diagnostic evaluation to pinpoint the exact failure (mechanical, electrical, sensor, or electronic control board). Following diagnosis:

Upfront Flat-Rate Pricing: The specialist will provide an itemized flat-rate quote detailing total labor, required OEM parts, and applicable taxes before any physical repair begins.
Customer Authorization Required: No repair work will commence without explicit customer approval. If you approve the repair quote, the standard diagnostic fee is credited directly towards the total repair balance.

4. Payments, Rates & Invoicing Terms

Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of diagnostic or repair services. We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), debit cards, and authorized electronic payments.

Upon payment confirmation, a comprehensive electronic invoice and receipt detailing technician notes, installed part numbers, and warranty coverage will be sent to your registered email address.

5. Customer Responsibilities & Safe Workspace Access

To ensure the safety of our technicians and protect your property during service, the customer agrees to:

1
Provide safe, well-lit, and unobstructed physical access to the appliance (clearing laundry, food items, cabinetry clutter, or surrounding obstacles).
2
Ensure all domestic pets and animals are safely secured away from the service work area during the entire visit.
3
Ensure an adult authorized representative (at least 18 years of age) is present on the premises during the entire appointment.
4
Ensure functional utilities (main power circuit breaker, water shut-off valves, gas valves) are accessible if utility isolation is required.

6. Factory OEM Parts & Availability Policies

Our service vehicles carry an extensive inventory of fast-moving genuine OEM factory replacement parts. In cases where a specialized component (such as a unique control board or specialized compressor) must be ordered directly from the manufacturer distributor, we will provide an estimated delivery timeline and return to finalize installation upon arrival.

7. 90-Day Workmanship Warranty & Part Guarantees

Repairs executed by GeekRepairAppliance are backed by our 90-Day Workmanship Warranty and applicable manufacturer part warranties:

Warranty Coverage: If the specific symptom or mechanical component repaired by our technician fails within 90 days due to workmanship defect, we will re-service the unit at no additional labor charge.

Exclusions: Warranty does not apply to new, unrelated hardware breakdowns on other parts of the appliance, unauthorized third-party tampering, power surge damage, flood or calcium scale buildup, or customer misuse.

8. Limitation of Liability & Property Exclusions

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GeekRepairAppliance's total liability under any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific repair service in dispute.

The Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of perishable groceries/foodstuffs due to refrigeration failure prior to or during repair, pre-existing structural floor weaknesses or pipe corrosion, or commercial revenue loss.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions and any service contracts executed by GeekRepairAppliance shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal proceeding arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
