Independent Provider Notice
Kamloops, BC, Canada

1. Independent Service Provider Notice

GeekRepairAppliance operates as an independent, third-party mobile appliance diagnostic, repair, and maintenance service provider in British Columbia, Canada.

Unless explicitly and distinctly stated in writing for a specific authorized arrangement, GeekRepairAppliance is not owned, operated by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or directly licensed as a factory subsidiary of any individual appliance manufacturing corporation.

Independent Status Benefit: Our independent operational status allows our technicians to offer objective diagnostic evaluations and service all major appliance makes and models without manufacturer brand bias.

2. OEM Trademark & Brand Non-Affiliation Disclaimer

All brand names, corporate logos, registered trademarks, product model designations, and service emblems referenced across this website—including, but not limited to:

Samsung®, LG Electronics®, Whirlpool®, General Electric® (GE Appliances), KitchenAid®, Bosch®, Maytag®, Frigidaire®, Sub-Zero®, Viking®, Kenmore®, Electrolux®, Amana®, Thermador®, Miele®, JennAir®, Speed Queen®, and Dacor®

—remain the sole, exclusive intellectual property of their respective trademark holders and corporate owners.

Any reference to these registered brand names or model identifiers on this website is made strictly and solely for nominative fair use, compatibility description, and consumer identification purposes to inform customers regarding the specific appliance configurations and systems our certified mobile technicians possess the tooling, schematics, and diagnostic skills to inspect and repair.

3. Diagnostic Evaluations & Upfront Pricing

Preliminary quotes communicated over the telephone or via website form submissions represent estimated evaluations based on customer-described symptoms. Because multiple mechanical or electronic faults can produce identical error codes or symptom manifestations (e.g. a refrigerator not cooling may stem from a failed start relay, severed harness, or sealed system leak), an exact repair quotation can only be finalized following physical, onsite diagnostic inspection by our technician.

Our specialists provide a transparent, flat-rate quote before initiating physical repair labor. No repair work will proceed without explicit customer verbal or written authorization.

4. Workmanship & OEM Parts Warranty Scope

All repairs executed by GeekRepairAppliance are supported by our dedicated warranty terms:

90-Day Labor Guarantee: If the specific symptom or mechanical component repaired by our technician fails within 90 days due to workmanship faults, we will return and re-service the unit at no additional labor cost.
Factory OEM Parts Warranty: Replacement components carry original manufacturer warranty coverage (typically 90 to 365 days depending on the manufacturer).
Warranty Exclusions: Our warranty does not cover unrelated secondary component failures occurring subsequent to the repair, damages resulting from municipal power surges, abnormal water pressure or calcium scaling, pest infestations, improper usage, or third-party disassembly.

5. High-Voltage, Gas & Refrigerant Safety Notice

Major residential and commercial appliances operate on high-voltage electrical currents (120V & 240V circuits), combustible natural gas / propane lines, and pressurized chemical refrigerants.

Safety Warning: Unqualified DIY (Do-It-Yourself) disassembly of electrical control boards, microwave capacitors, gas burner valves, or sealed refrigeration lines poses severe risks of lethal electrical shock, structural fire, explosion, or chemical burns. We strongly advise homeowners to always utilize certified, licensed diagnostic technicians.

If you detect the odor of gas (rotten egg sulfur smell), hear active gas hissing, or observe sparks/smoking, immediately evacuate the premises and contact your local gas utility and emergency services before scheduling repair dispatch.

6. Website Content & Informational Accuracy

The informational guides, troubleshooting tips, error code listings, and appliance care articles published on this website are provided for general educational purposes only. While we strive to maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation, appliance designs and technical specifications evolve continuously. GeekRepairAppliance does not guarantee that website troubleshooting tips will resolve specific hardware malfunctions without professional physical inspection.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law in British Columbia and Canada, GeekRepairAppliance and its technicians shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential losses, including but not limited to:

Spoilage or loss of refrigerated foodstuffs, frozen meats, or perishable inventory resulting from pre-service refrigeration failure.
Water damage caused by ruptured home supply hoses, faulty shut-off valves, or aged pre-existing plumbing fittings prior to technician arrival.
Business revenue interruptions or commercial downtime incurred during equipment diagnosis or parts transit.
